I hope you are talking about that 58 Olds, a 61 Plymouth is king of the ugly cars, even worse that a 60 Plymouth:eek:

In your opinion, which is all that is. We understand a couple of others have similar opinions. So what? Stop hammering the rest of us by constantly repeating your opinions. It is pointless as no one else is going to change their personal opinions because you keep repeating yours over and over. We got it, you don't like 60-61 Plymouths. Enough already!

Actually, at this point, the Surfers had sold the car to Richie & Bobby Bandel, from New York City. The Surfers were helping out the first time the Bandel Bros. took the car out to the track. I met the Bandel Bros in NYC one time, in 1965. Interesting guys, I could tell you some stories but I don't know if the Statute of Limitations has expired or not...

Is there any information on the first attached shot? From the looks of the tires on the cars this must be at a paved track somewhere.

The other shot looks like Johnny Thomson and Jud Larson at Williams Grove in 1958. Jud won.

    Thanks for posting, Rootie!

Sorry, I have no further info on the #8 sprint.
FWIW my info says it is Larson and Thomson at WG 1958. I'm pretty sure it's not Sacto as it had a much different outer guard rail.

  27. Their car rusted away before their very eyes as they drove.
