Novel tail light treatment ('51 Ford?), on this paneled Edsel wagon.

I believe those are '61 Buick taillights. s-l400.jpeg

You may be right, Peanut 1959. That was my first thought, too.
But they don't appear to be ribbed. (It's hard to tell, at that resolution.)

    1951 Ford lens...

Thanks to the good folks over at the "Customized and non-original Edsels Worldwide" group on Facebook, I was able to confirm that the lenses are, in fact, '61 Buick. But they're the simpler ones from an Electra, not the more sculpted LeSabre lenses.

Personally, I would have tried to retain the hooded Buick taillight housings, but I give props to the builder for straying from the beaten path, nonetheless. 20190604_222033.jpeg FB_IMG_1559704760406.jpeg FB_IMG_1559704745973.jpeg 20190604_222346.jpeg FB_IMG_1559703558359.jpeg

I love unique taillight treatments! Anybody have an idea what those taillight and backup light lenses are from? Or are they homemade?

According to Kustomrama, the taillight lenses themselves originated in a '54 Mercury.
    (Note ribs at the base.)

Thank you so much for that information! What a great application of those lenses.

  17. I’d say lower it another 2-3 inches in the back. You’ll have the stance nailed and won’t need hubcaps back there.
