Wow! looks far better than I thought it would.
Thank you for sorting - a whole lot easier then buying a complete set of ww’s only to find ya don’t like the look!

No. At least, I wouldn't. Let the body lines do the talking. See how the new roof works with the wheel openings? Chrome would just take away from the overall effect. I did deepen the color to make it look even longer and lower. Less is more here.

  3. Wondering what this truck would look like with a radical sectioning or channel and rework similar to the coupe... feel free to change color, wheels, etc. medium_1940_ford_1gc_1-2_ton_2_door_pickup_4aa621edde.jpeg 1940-ford-truck.jpeg tapatalk_1557413177423.jpeg

  9. Just read Ryan's article about the Niederkrom coupe, and now I am officially in love with the Toyota TRD calvary blue color. Can someone turn my Uni the same shade of blue?

Here's an approximation based on the fact that the color changes dramatically depending on whether it's in the sun or not. I'm assuming you wanted it in a flat color.

Nicely done! I'm a glossy kind of guy, but that does look sharp.

  13. madfish, would it be possible to see it glossy?

I would like to see the rear of the top brought forward 3-4", through the quarter windows.
Would anyone care to tackle this?

  24. Slanting the pillar would help too i feel. The problem is that (aside from it looking suspiciously like it´s totally made of bondo) the roof is too flat. If it had a nice curve to the gutter line it would look a lot nicer and less squashed. Think you could find another roof somewhere?

    Thanks, James D.
I agree with you on the B-pillar. I'll carry this over, for the owner to see.
You and the rest on this thread are a valuable asset to the HAMB, and much appreciated!;)

I tried just shortening the quarter window, with post intact. It's an improvement, although I prefer some of the other concepts for this car that have already been posted.

    @'Mo

Since you're doing all that metal work, did you give any consideration to just removing the posts? And maybe taking some of the "bulk" out of the grille? Just some random thoughts.
I'd keep the plastic tray on the rear fender though.

    'Mo,
Here's another thought. How 'bout a '48 Fleetline roof with "adjustments?" Might be easier and I think it was mentioned elsewhere one was available. As for the grill, '48 Fleetline grill w maybe just a roll pan under it. ugly 1 new hat and teeth .jpg
