I think Watson would have approved of this color combo. Car has 455 Buick power.

'Mo posted a pic (above) of Dick Fruend's '55 Chevy sedan (not a "post"). It struck me
as being awfully familiar until I realized I photographed it in Joliet, Illinois back in 2007.

WOW, @Gotgas Outstanding car! I cannot and will not get tired of looking at that. WOW.

I was thinking "so well designed by the factory that not much has to be done, just a shave, nose and deck" Then the tail lights raised my brow. "did those come on a DeSoto too? Look like Chryslers.

So now may I ask, could you school me on the all the mild and oh-so-right modifications done to this car?

Thank you, I appreciate that! The car is a '57 Chrysler New Yorker and those are the stock tail lights. Quite a few things aren't stock and I covered most of it here. But I think this list covers most of the cosmetics.
    shaved handles
    shaved gas door
shaved license plate box from trunk
    shaved all emblems and letters
added hood scoop (leading edge of '70s Jeep hood)
    added rear wheel lip moulding
'57 Desoto front bumper with steel mesh grille insert
'57 Windsor rear bumper (no guards, body color filler panel, cut hole for license plate

I'm humbled, I was confused by the wrong end. I thought DeSoto with Chrysler fins/lights. As you describe, it's the other way around. TOOO NEAT. The hood is a work of art.

Pretty cool evening cruiser (at least in the Midwest for a convertible). Grill fitment could use some adjustment as well as finishing off the trim on the surround. Thanks for posting.
