This car belongs to my most loyal patron, Dino. This is a ground-up redo of a very nice orange full-kemp outta Georgia (it was orange in colour). It now has blown flathead & T-Bird love seat. This thing could hold it's own at any KOA event.

I drew it at it's debut outdoor show, front & back. I added local city streets as a mirror-like backdrop. Each panel is 12x16. Have a good weekend.

    The original color and stance…
    Hello,

When my brother started bring home the early Drag News papers weekly in 1956-57, I immediately grabbed the paper and read it cover to cover. I could not put it down. I would take it to the dinner table, (being yelled by my mother to put it away) and try to finish it before bedtime. Being the youngest had its disadvantages as I had to go to bed earlier than my older brother.

One of the earliest racers I saw was the Emery Cook and Cliff Bedwell dragster. They were on top and were setting record after record at various So Cal dragstrips. The sad thing was that we never took any movies or photos of the dragster as it was on its winning streak. We actually never saw it in person, in 1956-60. That was a shame, but when I was older and started going to the drags with my brother, the Cook and Bedwell dragster was sold and gone.

Then in 2017, I was invited to a preview of the opening of the original Lions Dragstrip Museum and while walking around, saw this bright blue version of the Cook and Bedwell dragster.

  10. ( A STORY ) My alarm went off on my cell phone. It said a storm was coming. So I went out to put the Hot Rods away. The sky looked mean. I took a few photos with my phone. I wished that I had a better camera. The photos could have been artsy.:) Ron... 20190519_224915.jpeg 20190519_224707.jpeg 20190519_224748.jpeg 20190519_201108.jpeg

  12. Great start fellas! Not much new this week. Been under the gun with work on non-related stuff. These
are an exception. part of a t-shirt design for a local charity's car show. I used minimal line and color in this one.
unfortunately, both "HAMB" friendly cars are different shades of blue. For shirts, I simplified and will use the same color. Also, as you can see, one is a tubbed out pro-street/gasser, one a 'German' inspired pedal car ( with a questionable "super-car" rear wing), and the other, a lowrider, which I just adjusted for a more traditional look. Stop! Hold it! Back up the car. Why in the world was Corvette Bob's sketch removed? It certainly
wasn't off topic. As a matter of fact, this is the one discussion where most anything should
be allowed to be presented, and has. This is a thread for artists and those that dig auto art.
Someone's getting a little over anxious with their authority.

I very recently had a post deleted from "What Did You See Today", another one of those threads
where members (should be able to) post interesting cars they've seen. I know I enjoy seeing the
things we don't see on a daily basis.

I've been busted by Moriarty in the past but he didn't do it anonymously and without reason.
    What's going on?
