Been away a while, but I found a good bunch of new-to-the-H.A.M.B. shots in the high school yearbooks of Georgetown, TX:

Bleach this brings back memories for me. In 1966 two friends and I travelled to the US (by boat) to do a hot rodders tour of the US. We planned to buy a 60 Chevvy wagon to cruise in but they were $1000 so we ended up with a 60 Plymouth for $600. We put 25,000 miles on it for the 6 months we were there. We did stay with friends on the East and West coasts but when we were travelling we lived in the wagon. Two slept in the back and the shortest got the front seat. Sold it for $300 before we got on the boat back to Australia. Great times and good memories.

 

Hey sliceddeuce just below the Cal Custom sign you can see our white with red roof 60 Plymouth wagon we had in 66 which I referred to in my post above.

Even more amazing is to see a photo that had your own car in it.
Back in those days the Plymouth was probably more reliable tn the Chevy but way less attractive. The thing is when you're driving you don't see much of the outside of the car. It's the other drivers who have to deal with it. I think it's safer that way too. When a car is as ugly as that it gets noticed and and is less likely to get run into.
