ebay, 90's civic 3 core, dirt cheap.
Most everything on this car was sourced as cheap as possible

Like a nickel hooker, cheap, fun and a little dangerous! Great build!

Racing in Ethridge TN this weekend if anyone is looking for something to do. Should be a killer show. 19 A-gas cars already pre entered

mikie likes it.... looks nasty !
I see you made 3 jumper wires to make connectors for wiring,
my local electrical equipment supplier had thin steel jumpers that screw into the neutral block,
making [4] hot connection with [1] jumper,
I used [4] of them and that made connections for all my acc. wires... about $1 apiece...
pix are not my wiring just scraps from the box...
posted this in case it helps a builder add a wire with out surgery...HIH.
.owner snapped off the barriers between connections and ran them lengthwise... [4] for acc. [3] for on... [2] for hot...
    DSCN4300.JPG
.I screwed the jumper widthwise to show how you can add a jumper and it lets you screw down 2 connections and slide in another...
    DSCN4297.JPG
.if needed you can run [2] jumpers, point one in each direction, same [2] screws, with a slide on connector on each side... screws are long enough...

Yeah, i was going to buy or make some nicer jumpers, but time was running short so the short wire ones will have to do for now lol

Car has been working flawlessly all season. Currently sitting 3rd in the A-gas points race behind two very fast cars. Here are a few of my favorite shots from this season. Currently working on a new power plant to get this thing in the winners circle 56CAF60E-40E2-4C2E-B0D3-3F033CDC12BE.png 46AB4B40-A152-41AD-8D2F-A9DDBBE9D472.png 5DB6BA8B-E3E3-48D0-928C-00A583A6D0F8.png 60E850BA-8282-43E4-B105-1DB91BDBC3D1.png 1D832B17-B7B5-44CA-8839-5D24C42ED121.png 64D095D7-874A-4C03-878D-9948ABA0B68D.png

Starting to seriously think about paint scheme at this point. It'll be gold, at least partially. Thinking about gold/blue(think David Pearson torino), gold with black fenders( possibly black lace over gold and gold lace over the black) Gold with panels most likely red/blue, or about 50 other schemes i have came up with in my mind. I dont want the paint job to be too "busy" but I also want something a little extra than just a plain single color. The chassis is too nice to just have a mediocre paint job. Anyone have any ideas/input? Keep in mind ill be doing the paint/body myself, so don't get too crazy!

Pretty darn impressive for a totally new car at the start of the season. The David Pearson paint scheme would be very fitting, I don't think it will have to be too crazy. Let it's performance do the talking!

I think you are "Spot-On" with this choice Gabriel, it's beautiful and different which makes it awesome.
Been following your build at Quain's and racing on Facebook and rooting for you.

It's been good to watch you run this season. You're getting close to beating that silver Corvette.

Blue and gold makes a good combo in my opinion but I like more gold than blue not 50/50

The car looks awesome now and runs great. My son came over from Rock Hill, SC. to see the Gassers and your car was his favorite.
He said it looks so gangster, not like they talk today but like the old timey gangsters. He said it should be black with a Tommy Gun painted somewhere on the car.
Gold with black fenders would be really cool. Sort of sticking with the Southern Flyer theme.

If i do the gold and blue theme it will probably end up all painted gold with blue fenders(leaving a inch or two of gold at the edges, like blue panels)

@sonic03bluegt, I am curious about what headlights you are running. I want to go with small ones on my 60s street/strip A... I 've been looking at motorcycle lights of the era.

Have you got any changes planned for the car besides paint?
And can you give any details on your new motor?

Building a 406ci small block ford with good new parts currently. Should be in the car by the first race next season. Hoping to make a run for the points championship
