  4. I've seen pictures and a teaser video on Facebook. I won't spoil Gabriel's surprise unveiling on here but it looks and sounds good.

Car is doing great so far. It's already bested the falcon's top 60' and 330' in two races and isnt far off on 1/8 mile et. As soon as the good engine gets finished up and in the car, i have no doubt we will be a contender

Wasn’t very happy with the supplied hardware from aerospace brakes. They had the heads on the bolts cut down to the point I was scared of them since they not only hold the brakes, but also steering components. So, I made some new ones and actually measured everything and left all the meat on the heads that I could and still have clearance on the rotor 8196296C-EECD-4184-A746-D1D625709E42.jpeg D446A61B-A6F5-4E03-9C29-8EB6B274793A.jpeg DCA8DD86-88CE-4369-B14F-C5D044EBDEBC.jpeg AABB9C0E-0902-4E86-A411-4120B1257E32.jpeg CBC323EC-7728-46A4-8755-51E696C33C7D.jpeg 0F7E7BE5-4C96-4174-97E4-2BEB27E05394.jpeg B9FDB48D-45C4-4DF2-811A-02197F89FD85.jpeg 35C34D5A-D6D9-4589-BC2D-664D0485F139.jpeg 2C4242A5-BAA9-470C-B783-88D16FFA833B.jpeg

This stuff was all happening very fast as these last pics I’m posting today were all taken less than 10 days before the first race. I’m satisfied with the tin work, but it could use some finishing up. Made the tunnel and wheel tubs square to be different and also has the period vibe 9938BF8E-6F66-4ED8-A0ED-CA499F88A830.jpeg 0AE1E250-F980-434F-AC7E-D0ECB1274C8A.jpeg 16F09034-4837-4C25-A090-87E312B97314.jpeg 6B3F5326-4A63-47C8-8C0E-C908D96958FE.jpeg 58F52716-03E3-4221-BF48-42D3CA95ECCD.jpeg 8782F131-3334-44AB-A485-54F7AD80B2F8.jpeg AF757959-52BE-4EC0-93A3-75B5B59D831F.jpeg 81ADEEE0-5324-415D-A020-6F12B46D9916.jpeg 44523313-1773-4A43-9C06-53C04147A6F0.jpeg 8FC25C40-EA23-4F40-9B8F-ED9A3D6BFAE1.jpeg CB5B6841-B52B-4D0F-96B4-5EF4272CD091.jpeg

I worked about 130 hrs this week all these pictures were taken, so they are extra poor quality . All the gauges used were stuff I had laying around. The bellhousing was an old unit that I restored for lack of a better term AB6EFA4B-5626-4E48-9D7C-206E97B6B070.jpeg 30CAED3F-C17D-4EC4-9F83-B3C54AF18337.jpeg 49D320B7-50C7-4A90-B682-C0939BF1C0ED.jpeg 35109B07-3CBE-498E-B0C0-6A9E6A3A275C.jpeg 00044C9A-E995-45D7-9257-138FB974AA92.jpeg D305403E-274F-4FB3-B812-FD88348612BB.jpeg AB865387-6CE7-4E9E-B6B9-B146756C9B95.jpeg 876EB800-2C65-4807-BDBF-F598B9FC4536.jpeg 7AB4EB57-A61A-4D37-B8E9-FC6442A543EC.jpeg B4172BB0-120F-43E8-9F5A-20780082005D.jpeg B4C122A7-36A2-4445-A0F0-EA47EC7DA140.jpeg 60B4FB74-3E22-4B1B-8592-24A7746E555F.jpeg

Decided at about 3am one morning that the firewall needed machine turned, so that’s what it got. Drilled holes in the grille for aesthetics and to provide a little air flow to the radiator 8E7359CD-4A5D-4834-88CE-5D7ACF4B771B.jpeg AA6C686B-8667-4EE3-ABA6-C27BF459C4F5.jpeg 1A0C2A28-F379-4CCF-B9F1-890B33D3FFE9.jpeg 5DAF51B5-2736-4E2A-B766-1F01A0BE6D4F.jpeg C71B127F-ECA1-4707-A212-C84F80B9AAC8.jpeg 7A8EFF20-4D46-4B35-A245-5B4D744BA93F.jpeg C3EF0251-ADC7-457B-AA50-B992E3CC7559.jpeg 399F16B0-4E24-4519-A1CE-1D31C9AECA5A.jpeg 2BE63D68-998B-4AC5-875A-66AEFEFE35D3.jpeg 8460DA99-B4BC-43F6-860C-B5A040AE25F5.jpeg 6E583D8F-F5BE-487E-A012-A33BDAD810CE.jpeg 446FBEEB-1928-49B9-8984-46D45482F6A5.jpeg C10A0B4A-5C8C-4F78-A9CD-09698C42756C.jpeg 672E6799-4D0B-403D-9953-D5AD1CCBECE4.jpeg

The last major hurdle was headers. I thought I had a set borrowed from jimmy huff that would work, but they wouldn’t. Ended up chopping up a set I had previously made for the falcon to save some time. Drilled some more holes because the look cool and I could convince myself they had a function F4D5184C-6760-4641-8CD3-ED98E4E5D807.jpeg 040675A7-0A42-4125-B331-93DC528469D5.jpeg 15AC7372-05A5-4FFB-BD71-A2666ABBEEC5.jpeg E6351E62-A881-4929-8019-C9DC80548A1D.jpeg 11A67960-CD41-45AB-8DD0-0C56A491873D.jpeg AF21A9AC-E151-4D7B-B23C-2F26D4241D90.jpeg 7E392141-0FFA-47E7-8D27-0B89C69F2585.jpeg B19902E5-E72E-41B4-8017-C245ABDA438B.jpeg ADD99EE8-A3B5-458D-8B50-C777703D675D.jpeg 963F9381-0B33-49C6-ACE6-A4D78A1B67D9.jpeg 6E037C9D-0968-46EE-BBA2-37E65FE506CA.jpeg 29EC2C3E-D7E7-4828-AD1E-B2D3088F15FF.jpeg 9F97FCA8-C7FD-48C0-9151-8E78A3A00E9E.jpeg AFCFCC85-CB00-412D-966C-7B7311C17629.jpeg F6E2122E-FF62-43CC-AD79-5AEBAFBEDA91.jpeg

Made some door stops, and wired the car at this point. I have zero pics of the wiring process, but I started around lunchtime and finished after 5am. Slept a few min and headed into my day job C3C1AD8B-AC77-4193-8DBC-AA9DFAD67D33.jpeg EC72DD37-27D6-4D24-A1EF-31E2C3A2E7B0.jpeg F1EFF792-3508-424F-871B-02829C657F20.jpeg 66AF6872-533A-42E5-8BE5-CADF9E3BB557.jpeg E136B8FB-563A-4A41-A93B-1DF00A072690.jpeg CB817DEC-DAC6-4EC3-9D8D-79E34447B8FD.jpeg

Got the wheelie bars made and was finally able to weigh the car. That’s the number ready to race with me in the car at 210lb 22B1D859-42C7-4898-A423-F5CC1A2E5EAC.jpeg 4A773837-4439-4401-9E28-D1003B86A4BB.jpeg F5D1AA15-7650-431B-B0BA-9756199F154A.jpeg 678EC7ED-57FC-4AA1-839A-C63D0BCE9EAE.jpeg CE6996B9-101C-4701-9DA7-D452C78A70FE.jpeg 4C8230FA-C745-4788-A33B-D70B7DF07150.jpeg 4AC06502-4CB9-4DF1-BF0C-F84D5C5C9639.jpeg FE089739-5FA8-4DA9-8C76-0A797BC2BB93.jpeg

Got the car back to my house for a few days since we had a rain out at our first race. Pic on the track is from one of its first test hits, thanks to Tom hassel for the photo 7671FEE3-EE76-4D54-8E36-BE9F75572E77.jpeg DE9452DE-35D4-4067-9707-E96A83007E93.jpeg 30FEB22D-3EB7-4291-B4A9-72DE60093A79.png

Test session didn’t go as planned. The engine for the car didn’t do what we had hoped it would, so put it came and a borrowed 427 ci small Block jimmy huff had went back in until the original mill could get a Cam change and a few odds and ends 89DD8294-C1BA-4BD5-813F-C676E8B84DD3.png 81C13423-F34B-43FB-BE71-7C1958F0DD9D.jpeg 385D2473-A250-4573-AB6C-7642DCCB9737.jpeg A9DF8A49-A9AD-406F-815B-179BEFE69589.jpeg FBD1415F-AA66-4E00-B294-46A6303854AB.jpeg 80C9D8F3-13BB-47E5-AEEC-49D6CD6F4D42.jpeg 81536D71-DA7F-401D-84C8-D2D5500538B0.jpeg

Made it to the first race. I lettered the car with sponsors the night before the race. It looks like hell but it was house paint and a $1 brush so I didn’t expect much. 37EC33D6-5479-40CB-B3B7-31C4C7818E1B.png 44193433-FD75-45F4-BA7C-B620C0D896EC.png C9BBB2DF-56C1-4CF0-985C-24A05284B16C.jpeg

We now have two races under our belt and several round wins. I’m thrilled with how the car is doing. It’s had the best 60’ and 330’ That I’ve ever turned already. Can’t wait to get the 400 ci engine back in and really hurt some feelings. Thanks!

Yes, the car works and drives extremely well. It made a full pass on its second hit off the trailer. Only needed a few minor adjustments. Cant wait to get the other engine installed and really finishing fine tuning the chassis
