...this is a really cool Hotrod Pickup. There almost seems to be Bigs up-front and Littles out back but I think they're actually same size front and back which is of course era and period correct many moons ago...

Check out the Frame 'The Underslung'...Wow..No wonder its exposed, Mechanical Beauty it is...
Smooth, Somewhat Aerodynamic and Stylish and tough no spokes to bend...

I believe this may possibly be an earlier version of the in motion Track image
in post above...It is interesting to think about influence to Hotrod and Land Speed...

Back in the Dirty 30's Hotrodders had lesser previous years to Dream and Glean from...

By the way these photos are circa 1907 approx...incredibly cool...

I mean the 40's 50's hadn't happened yet so that limited Inspiration grew as time went on
and styling mixed as more options came into play...

    BarneyOldfield.jpg

...The Mix of Wheels...Kinda Hotrod isn't it...;)...to this day I really like the look of mixed Wheels and even Tires...Check out the Crude but Beautiful Overlaid Panels...It would be a trippy ride down a smooth country road wouldn't it...

I often wonder about Hotroding...I mean Barney must have looked at automobile as a bit of as a adreneline high. This guy breathed Going fast in cool cars...it really is a big part of what a Hotrod is...just pacified for street, as the street is not the Track

To Heck with the Boring Daily Drivers...

What a Cool Streeter this would make...

    Hotrod...Kinda...Wonder How Loud it was...

    Long Winded Today..
Just an opinion of course...I'd like to think there a plausible connection...

    Barney...Your Legend Lives On...

I remember the Running boards on the Ole Hydra Glide I owned had metal scraped away from cornering and turns so lets just give it the name Sparky...:D

That one probably belongs in the Hot Rod Sports Cars thread too.

Sectioned & channeled early Notaford body with sports car dips instead of doors. Rotated 40ish Ford? cross steer box & probably drivetrain maybe. Fenders & nerf bars... I'm betting East Coast.

.... @anthony myrick ...There's a few (maybe a bit more than that) European influenced vehicles within the thread...it matched @GEBHARD's 32 grille shell pic a bit...:D

I have been guilty...;)...but like to keep it minimal...Did they Race here?...I mean having a North American connection means potential exposure to Hot Rod Culture...for potential build influence.

A Hotrod Pickup and a Coupe were posted by me fairly recently and albeit the truck looked N. American, it was actually a Citroen...I was surprised...The Coupe also looked N. American as well the look was definitely built in a N. American Hotrod Style

  25. well, WW2 kept it from racing, it is a hand built race car. and definitely not homogenized
our Bossman does like him a custom Porsche

I remember posting a Boxy Square EU Wartime Racer thing back some time ago 'Out of The Box' joking kinda...and this yes is absolutely a work of Metallic Art and Racing Prewar and Even Postwar saw Europe competing here before the Shit Hit the Fan...with stuff like this.

The fact that Builders like Kurtis and Others saw this stuff here probably influenced their builds in some way there is no denying...
