Scratchboard I did in art class in 1975. Not a great picture but it's been a while....

Pencil on mylar drawing. Decided to do this one back around 2007 when I bought my first unibody short bed. Planned to play with colors and wheels.

  10. Great F.A.S everyone. Stogy, I love your Hudson. I did a Ford town car Kustom. It was inspired by the chrome shop delivery. Thanks Ron..... 20190510_060451.jpeg

Thanks Ron...That's a pretty cool design you have rendered too...that Custom is wild isn't it...it doesn't even have a back window...All Atlas Plating's vehicles were pretty spiffy...

upload_2019-5-10_4-0-12.png 1956 Corvette SR 2 HighFin: “The SR-2 acronym stood for “Sebring Racer” or alternatively “Sports Racing”. Starting with a Sebring Corvette chassis, the SR-2 sprouted a rear fin, two small racing windscreens, air scoops on the side coves and an extended front end with driving lights that gave the machine a purposeful appearance.”

    Hello,

The 1956 Corvette SR2 was designed to go fast at Daytona and other race courses. Only a few of them were made. There are still the pristine models around the high dollar event/display circles. It was the era of the factory open race cars for the superiority of the Southeastern races. The Ford camp did their own versions with the Thunderbird and Mercury models.

I always thought the Battlebirds could have been street versions that would go over well in the community of racers. My brother liked the Mercury fin version, although he had his way of changing things. Things never work out to our liking...

At least Ford tried to emulate the Battlebirds from the 1961-1963 sporty Thunderbirds…well, nice try…

Kidney bean magnesium/aluminum wheels looked good on the original Corvette, but the design with the 3 prong knockoff nut seemed out of place... It was a 3 prong knock off on a 5 blade/5 kidney bean hole design. How does that match up in the world of symmetry designs?

So, a high speed Bonneville or El Mirage SR 2 version would fit right in with the smooth Moon Discs and a sleek canopy. As rare as they are, it just smooths out the design.

  14. Bob, I don't know how you do it, but I love your work. It's always great. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Why does this look like a bomb went off inside it and bulged all the body panels--or is it a giant plush toy?
