Although not all Mopar my little single seater has a cowl from a 22/3 Dodge roadster. The motor is a 230 flat six, transmission is a 40 Dodge pick up three speed top loader and the shock mount are from the same 40 pick up. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Here are some shots from the mock up and pre chop and stance stages. I hadn't sectioned it yet. I mocked up some skirts but I think I'm going open wheel wells. Mild chop by todays standards. 3" at the A pillar and a 3" section.

Mild Chop; A.K.A.; "Tasteful Chop" I.M.O., too many cars are chopped to be radical... your enhances the car's design, making it more appealing to the eye.

    Thank you Jacksmith.
I've been doing custom things to cars ever since my first one at age 14. I'm 62 now and most of the people that taught me are gone . I like all styles of customs but this style is what I know best. This car was in pieces and one day away from the crusher when I got it. It's a project for sure.

Wow, does that bring back memories! I learned how to drive in Grampa's '58 DeSoto wagon... the front looks very similar!
This Chrysler is stunningly gorgeous! A regular Strato-Sled! I'll bet it's amazing on the highway!!!

He used the DeSoto bumper/grill combination, which explains why it looked familiar to you!

Love these mopars. Just bought a 74 Newyorker to customize (too new for here) but she has the lines. I also think the 57 Plymouth would make a good custom. Any more pics of 57s?
