I am wanting to change the ring and pinion gears in the rear end of my 1946 Chevy pickup to 3:55 gears to give it more cruising drive ability. Does anyone know where I could get a set of these gears at a reasonable price ? Thank You, David

What rear end is currently in it, stock axle?

If new Speedway. Used a salvage yard. This is probably the most common rear end gear made.

Is it Patrick's or Langdon's that is selling NEW 3.55 gears for the early Chevrolet trucks?

I put 3:55 gears in my 55 second series truck, great improvement over stock 3:90's They are made by Yukon Gear, should be able to order them from a distributor of that brand or call them directly. I don't remember where I bought them it has been a couple years.
    Jim Carter seems familiar.

Has anyone ever found a set of 3.55 early truck gears in a salvage yard?
