So I got the door metal finished to where I’m happy and started making and tacking in the rumble lid patch. Nice to have the garage doors open again! Also got a ‘32 pedal assembly and tons of little odds and ends. Still looking for a steering column and box if anyone has an f1 setup.
...Someones getting Antsy... Great Vintage look you have coming together there Kustom... and you have one of those Vintage ambient Workshops to boot...
So I’ve been finishing up all the welding and getting the doors opening and closing as they should with the handles and mechanisms installed. Tonight I finished cutting out the wood for the floor and started building a seat frame. Leather also came in for the seat. I may be getting a little ahead of myself there but I never get to do any upholstery work for myself so I can’t wait to do it.
Pulled a nice F1 column, box, and front shock mounts out of a junkyard the other day. Also got the seat frame finished up.
Working on getting the column fitted before I pull the body back off to finalize everything. It sure is tight. Using a model a flange on the f1 box.
More progress. I got the headers tacked up and brought them over to a friends shop to be finished. Then I pulled the body back off to finish the chassis. Got the k legs fitted and bolted the pedal assembly in. Also started making the master cylinder bracket and k leg extensions. Everything seems to be fitting together nicely.
Dang, really nice work man! I see you have a Friendly's sign in front of your shop. Brings back memories of when I was stationed at Westover AFB back in the early 60's. They had great hamburgers and ate there all the time. Are they still around?
Metal fab skills? Check Sewing skills? Check If you can sing you're a triple threat! Looks killer man!
