When I looked at the shot, it reminded me of where I grew up in central BC. To my mind, it could be anywhere in the mountains of western North America.

It's Willow Creek, California on Highway 299 which runs east-west between Arcata (Eureka) and Redding.

You must have been one of those ungrateful brats that just dropped your bike on the ground without using your kickstand.

Four kids from Lemont, Illinois in 1967 taking a Friday break from high school.
Got in Kenny's '57 Chevy, hit Chicago's Old Town, Chinatown and ended up here
at the Museum of Science and Industry. What a day...got hit on the side of the
head by a well packed snowball on the South Side and bought the Doors first
album up on the North Side. Yeah, there was some Budweiser involved, too.

One murdered, one overdosed, one is a regular citizen, the last unknown.

I was ten in 1960 and walking around with a Kennedy / Johnson bumper sticker on
    the back of my jacket.

Looks like Hwy 96 (big foot hwy) at the intersection with HWY 299. Still a real crooked road with a real crooked population (as in tweaked):confused:o_O

This looks like it has been channel and the fenders move upward, but I could be wrong.

I'll take the Healey. Hopefully it already has a Chevy V-8 in it.

[IMG] d89f037bb4f59fe318aedaeea7b760e7.jpg A Google search using Little Giant Dover Drag Strip will pull up several sites with info on the history of this still lost race car.Color photo shows the early front end and hood that were destroyed in a wheel stand. Bob
