I am on board early in this thread saying I have no use what so ever for a four door with a few in the 30's exceptions. This Turquoise Merc sure has changed my mind about that. I could see that in my stable any time, beautiful car.

Thead popped up again and it got me to thinking when I was at Costco Sunday driving the OT two door and trying to put Costco size stuff in the back seat that one of the four doors sitting in the driveway would have been a lot better choice. One sits too low to get out though the snow and the other needs the trans serviced so the Old reliable red one got the road trip.

My two fav 4-door long roof models. A ‘59 and a ‘62. Both on the bucket list. Randy

No four door for me. Unless it was a Woodie or a station wagon.

Not much. There are only a few hardtop models I would even consider.

Nope. My only exceptions would be suicide door Lincolns, 57-8 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham and maybe a 57 Bel Air 4 door hardtop.

  15. To each their own, but not for me, Nope sorry, I’m too old to drive a 4 door, no kids, no friends, if I buy more groceries that a front split bench will hold they go in the trunk. If I got a free continental with rear suicide doors, I might relent and drive it till I doubled my money... outside that, never have, never will. And for that matter, whats with all the more door trucks nowadays... another nope!

    mine is a four doors...
this car came from florida ,when i was looking for an 1956 oldsmobile ,
it was the only one i found in my price range.
+ my wife don't like two doors , and here in france , two doors are very rare , and more expansive than 4 doors..

Some are cool , some the 1st thought in my mind is: Too bad it's not a 2 door.

My attitude toward 4 doors has always been the same. They are GREAT demo derby cars...

No, it hasnt. I have never cared about 4 doors, but everyone has a different kind of taste with everything. I dont diss people if they're into 4 doors, its just not my personal thing. My dailydriver is offtopic GMC truck with an extended cab with suicide doors. So technically its a 4 door model, but i can live with that.

Yep! I like the mid '60s Lincoln convertibles and also the '67-'69 Thunderbirds... A mechanic I used to work for bought a '69 'bird 4-door from a lady customer that was pink with a white vinyl top and a white leather interior.... Man, it was nice! :)
It was powered by a 345 hp 390....
