Hot Rods My Gasser is getting paint

I bought this Car on the H.A.M.B. and have driven the crap out of it. Dragged 1/8 a few times. Put it for sale due to needing something bigger for the family. But I’ve gotten the “it’s just in primer” response.
Not anymore. Gonna get Ford Legend Lime. Body and Fenders. Chrome a few things and keep on driving (still with a “For Sale” sign)

I like the car but I have never heard of "resale green".

 

I have a green one.

 

I think the green will help put it in a more legit 60’s styled Gasser.

It's got the "drag arm" with super 2 magnets....

 

The car is very cool but if your trying to sell it why not paint it a color that appeals to a wider audience? If I was going to keep it and run it like an early race car I would paint it whatever color spun my prop like your suggesting. Just my 2 cents worth...

 

The name conjured up the image of a very bright green and I thought, "that's not going to help sell it"! Well, after looking up the color, I know where they got the name. It reminds me of the 60's lime gold, that along with the burnt orange of that era were always a favorite of mine (and others). Do you follow the Model A sedan gasser build on here? Gabriel Burrell is finishing up his A for the SEGA, this will replace his Southern Flyer Falcon. (Model A Tudor SEGA Gasser build)
Can't wait to see yours painted.

 

My 1-1/2 cents...I really like the way that car looked. And this is weird for me to say because I am not in love with silver cars. But you might want to give silver a thought. Maybe even silver flake. Gene.

I think the grey was not fitting the rest of the build. It’s hard to pick the color of a potential buyer. I think this green is classy and fits the period.

I feel yer pain, I had a 32 Vicky 4 years ago in Flatz Black and tried to sell for a month or so.
Pulled it into the shop scuffed it, wrapped it up and 3 days later it was Green. Relisted it and it sold 4 days later

 

"Green race car...That's a 'Hoodoo Wagon'..." The color always reminds me of that old race car superstition.
My Dad's '29 roadster was painted a lime green in 1960...Some liked it, most didn't. It was his. I didn't like it, but liked him...Repainted it in '76, darker green. Now...I liked it, so did most.
Final green was shot in '83, even darker green. Gold pinstriping, very sharp.
I thought, "If I ever own that '29 full-fendered roadster, I'm gonna repaint it! GREEN!"

 

This was my last car that I built. My first daughter’s birth stone is green so that’s how this worked out.

I think this green will hopefully succeed on the gasser vibe.

It has pearl in it and looks dark and light depending on the light.
I know I like it. All that matters.
