If you have the option to drive your 32 Roadster with a top or without what is your choice

I purchased a "Bop-Top" for my roadster because I wanted one that can easily be removed. The problem is that I really like the way the car looks with the top on, so now I don't take it off!

I like topless and I have a tonneau cover for if it rains and drive it when the rain stops.
last year I got caught in a heavy thunder storm at the end of the ALL DEUCE RUN and had to drive my fender less roadster all the way back to Marietta GA. following a fenders less coupe and it rained heavy almost all the way home, so I'm having at top with side window's made at Chad Adams Rods.
For your Poll its both now depending on the weather or with top on diving out of town and for sure the ALL DEUCE RUN this year.

I made a tonneau-cover with driver and passenger cut out.

I'm working on the windscreen wood toper of my bob top, to incoorporate a two-wiper with one center wipermotor configuration that stay's with the bob-top when it comes off.....at the moment i run her without my bob-top, as it's not installed yet.

former redhead, sunstroke waiting to happen... I vote tops up...
sounds like they make a bop top for '30-'31 roadsters...
any chance on getting a center front to center rear of the cockpit,
and a left to right w/s top measurement...?
and maybe a ball park cost ? ……… thanks.

  9. I drove my roadster thousands of miles, I have been burnt to a crisp in the sun & looked like a drown rat in heavt thunderstorms and never had a top, If I ever build another roadster I will definitely have a top of some sort, preferably something that will fold up and store in the trunk. HRP

I am not a top down guy, but I like the look of a roadster more so than a coupe, IMG_0153 (Edited).JPG hence the top stays up!

  15. For 16 years my wife and I rode without a top.
Now that we have a top, going into year 2 with a roof, I think having a top is the best thing ever[IMG]

Great help ! Got a buddy who has gone this route on. 27 t roadster him self twice .
He found he had to install fabric tubes to keep the the top bows ( in this case wood )
From rubbing through . I feel the top MUST be held down well , or a passing semi might destroy it ! Build it withstand one hundred mile speeds for wicked head winds from Unexpected storm !! Where I live in the Pacific Northwest, there is the Columbia Gorge
Which has pushed my car into the next lane !!

With and without. If traveling long distance always put the roof on but weather permitting it is off. Sid Chavers roof.

Depending on forecast and length of drive/trip, the top is on or off.
BopTop makes it a breeze either way (pun intended).

I don't recall seeing a 32 roadster with a stock type top folded down.
Are they so horrid nobody ever does it?

    ME TOO!!

I've only had my top down once. My Irish heritage (Parents from Galway) dictates sun block & a top. Cheaper than the dermatologist. P.S. My OT convertible stays up most of the time - down at night time.

Sounds like we're turning this into a red head thread. Me too, and if I'm going any distance which I like to do, the top is on, between the sun and rain potential. Around town it's off. 20181206_093153.png I've only driven with it folded down once, it's either on or off. Picture was at the Jalopy Jam Up in Ontario, Canada two years ago.

6389E829-88C2-420C-B92D-59CA9D9EFD18.jpeg I haven’t had a top in all of the time that I’ve had this one, but I’m sure that I should really look into something that would work, but dang!! I love her w/o a top on ;).
