Happy April folks! Is there a difference between the front crank pulley on a Model A engine vs a Model B?

Here’s something bad...... And here’s something good...... It would figure Snyder’s doesn’t have another babbitted .020 rod to replace this one that’s destroyed. Got one of their lightened v8 but had to have the flywheel turned down more to fit in this damn bellhousing.

@JT1930 What was part of the clutch was hitting the bellhousing ? Or do you mean the flywheel was hitting as there isn’t much you can take off a clutch. Its more likely the aftermarket adapter casting is heavier than original.

Jimini, thanks for the mention of my banger book! Believe it or don't, I have sold over 1600 books, to places you wouldn't even believe. One correction, I have changed it to full-page format, no longer spiral bound but except for the oldest pictures, they are now in color. Price is now $34 mailed here in the States.

@Big John M its Mac’s bellhousing. Nice piece btw.

@Kiwi 4d sorry. The flywheel is what I meant. After facing it flat to put the v8 pressure plate on I had to get the flywheel turned So it would be a smaller diameter to fit in the housing.

Its Nice to see Graeme at Macs speed has an inspection hole in the top of the adapter.
On his V8 ones he does not and if when the clutch push rod is disconnected and falls back the fingers can and do slip off the recess in the throw out bearing and are near impossible to get back on. So the first thing I do is get out the hole saw and put a 2 3/4” hole right there.
