  1. Got the coupe out for a test drive. Everything seems real good. Had the street tires on and she will instantly fry them when a little pedal is given . She drives nice on the street but is a hand full LOL. WIN_20190406_17_39_35_Pro.jpg

  3. I will try to make it, will have to see. Still have a few things to do on her. I am only 50 minutes from Beaver. Love that track.

  4. Pressure washed the 1948 Farmall Cub in preparation for paint, changed riding lawn mower tires for a friend, and helped my 17 year old nephew wire his truck for trailer lights and brakes. I hope tomorrow that I can do some fun stuff!

Cleaned and primed the inside back of the cab in my ramp truck. The only solid part(except the cab corners) of the floor in preparation for the new fuel tank. It was actually yesterday also! As an aside I found out you can not store foam brushes a long time, they fall apart. Got two thirds of it done on one brush and it took 5 mo ra pai.jpg ra pain.jpg ra paint.jpg re to finish it!

Thank you, I never cut corners on anything. I would rather do it right the first time.

  14. Painted the 3spd from our 1950 Styleline. We have it out of the car while I'm doing the clutch and torque tube, so my 5 year old daughter and I degreased and cleaned it up. When I said we should paint it while it's out she said "we should paint it purple!!"

I have to say it turned out not bad!

  21. Pardon my ignorance, I have a 1950 3100 with a 3 Speed, so I recognize the front of the transmission, but what is the housing on the rear?

Didn't get all the insulation in the ceiling yesterday but made a good start on it. Waiting on my turn at the friggin pain management dr, and then I'll get to the house and finish up the ceiling insulation.

been putting wheels on tools to be able to move them around the shop more easily, bead roller, sheet metal brakes, English wheel and generally cleaning up.
I've had this wheel weight cart for almost ever, the bottom was all bent and wheels not behaving
so I cut the old bottom out, bent up and welded in a new one and reattached the wheels,
I could see a bit of an old logo under a couple layers of paint,
so I spent way too long carefully removing some of the slopped on paint and exposed most of the original artwork,
squirted some clear over it and called it done, well it will be done when I sort all the weights..

I am so glad that my Kansas garage is insulated. It really amazes me how well a tiny wood burning stove can keep it toasty inside in 20-30°F weather...

Those weights are Gold nowadays. The new non lead weights don't stay on rims that well.

  28. I'm sure I'm not using the correct technical terms but what you can see is where the u-joint fits in and connects to the rear of the trans. Then there is a universal joint ball/cup like housing that fits over the whole deal and bolts to the trans with a retainer collar. The ball/cup housing has a tube where the shaft of the torque tube slips in and that's what connects the torque tube shaft to the transmission.

Got the cinder block sill demolished between the existing shop and the addition. Ceiling insulation is done. Went to Home Depot and got electrical stuff. Productive day. 20190410_135014.jpg 20190410_135125.jpg 20190410_135133.jpg 20190410_110431.jpg
