Thanks everyone for the very honest and kind words!

This is actually just a “trailer” for what we are currently working on. We spent a lot of hours during the late summer and early fall. We were out in the hot sun and freezing foggy mornings. Gosh was it cold... I have a couple professional friends helping on this, we help each other all the time on photography and video projects. One of them has some very good connections in the music and entertainment industry so who knows maybe we will get lucky. When I say “we” it’s the HAMB family too....this car was purchased through an ad on this site. Many of you guys have helped not only on this car but others as well. So a very special thanks to you guys and let’s keep our fingers crossed!

    Hi Pete,

I purchased the Olds Rocket 88 from David at Stokers Hot Rod Factory in Upland California over Father’s Day weekend last year. David is great guy and actually got the tires sorted out and rims painted black and the stance just right! Great guys and very knowledgeable. Yes it’s right here at my High Noon Speed Shop between Baltic and Ragersville hanging out with my “Bootleg Bro’s”!

Hmmm? Never did? Some states held on...
In 1964, I located a black '56 Ford Vicky (312, T86 3 speed stick/O.D.) in a wrecking yard, just outside Oklahoma City, OK.
The proprietor stated this car was a 'tanker', (no 'tanks', but there were long leather belts/harnesses affixed to the trunk inside, like would embrace Mason and Ball jars)
He 'allowed' the ol' boy was arrested more than a few times for carrying 'shine, the 'agents' (local constables) couldn't catch him, but knew where he lived, and caught him when he came in. Said the judge was tired of sending him to the county farm for a month at a time...
Finally, a different judge confiscated the Victoria, and auctioned it off. This auto wrecker bought it for $100.
And there it sat, from '61 to '64. I bought it for $300, and a new title.
Had it in my rented house's garage, got back from a long haul trip to New York (was driving big rig coast-to-coast) 2 weeks later, car was gone, neighbor said a tow truck had come in the night and hauled it off.
Never a sign...I joked that the jealous 'Revenoors' took it out of spite, or fear...
"This California joker might take up where ol' Jake left off!"
Wonder where it went...a real 'jewel'.

Cool car, cool video. I may have to take the Wide Whites and Fiesta caps off of my '50 Coupe and install a set of blackwalls, black wheels and dog dish caps. '50 Olds 001.JPG
