A 1965 Pontiac Vivant concept car parked in the drive of Pierre Koenig’s Case Study House #21 -
the Walter Bailey House. Located in West Hollywood it was completed in 1959.

I'm digging the connection of the Pontiac concept with the trick architecture. Backgrounds
are so important when shooting cars.

On Darryl Starbirds Electra, can anybody tell me what the 'wiper' thing is on/near the front screen?

How about Raymond Loewy (and his new bride) at the Kaufman's Palm Springs house?
(The Kaufman's were also owners of Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater").

And speaking of FLW; Here is his own Continental parked in the motor court of his Wisconsin residence, "Taliesin".
(Check the window detail on the house. With FLW's obsessive attention to detail, this would not be a stand alone element, but would be as intrinsic to the whole as an element of a Tibetan Buddhist mandala.)

Incidentally, both cars survive to this day.

I've noticed the candy green from the 60's/70's appears to be the new color trend, new variations of it in modern paint.[IMG]

Why is it that all of wicarnut’s pictures are blocked by a big red X ? Do I need to change a setting or something on my mobile app? Everyone else’s pictures show up fine.
