I think I’d be sleeping with the dog now if I’d kept both

That's it. I'm done. Gonna get my passport and fly to Oz and throw the passport away. I can disappear into back-of-never and get by working on rods.

And how I envisage the final product to look like. Once the car comes home I’ll start the right hand drive conversion and build the top. I’ve just picked up an industrial sewing machine so will start practicing.

Grant has been knocking this out of the park, been putting the finishing touches on the 41 before it ships down to me. I can’t thank him enough for creating something very special.
Plenty more work to be done once down here but very happy with the outcome so far.

I too thought at first trading the deuce ? for the other:eek::confused: but I followed the picture trail and kept going back to look again and again over the cool metal artistry and the transformation pics and had that aha moment where you see the depth of a custom coming to light. Dang ,am I being converted to customs :eek:?

Why convert to RHD? You'll have to fab a lot of parts, and driving a LHD 41 convert is not a problem in Melbourne

Not much fab at all, i have all the parts, have driven l/h/d in melbourne before and circumnavigated the US twice on the wrong side of the road. Just a personal preference i suppose.

I would NEVER convert an American classic to RHD . You can get full rego now. I've actually unconverted a 59 Biarritz that was converted in 1960.
    Keep it left hook.

I honestly can’t see the issue. All the parts will be interchangeable, the dash I picked up has the pot metal moulding in great shape which will chrome up really well.
Tell me one good reason why I shouldn’t do it. Anyway, this is not something I’m doing immediately.

Dick Carter is smiling down at you from above...That's how a '41 Ford rag top should look. Proper.

A shout out to a couple of members here, @ne’erdowell (Dave) and Chris Casny for helping me out with flipper caps, these mounted on 15”merc rims with Goodyear super cushions should compliment the car nicely.

Hi I just joined and I’ve been thinking of converting my 1949 F-6 Rat to right hand drive. I spent a little time in Australia and England and think it would be cool to make my truck right hand drive.
