I would like to make a small decal and have an idea but lack the skills to do it justice. No need to keep anything I have if you can do it better? HSHIFT.jpg

  4. You could start by saying, "an anti-theft device" instead of, "a anti-theft device"....

Giving it the color of an old Hurst shift knob that has some years on it would be cool..

The shift pattern looks too much like a big H
Make the shift pattern narrower a less obvious.

this one has a better look, but still not something I'd put on an old car....it's just too darn modern sounding. And R would probably be up to the left, anyways.

I wish any one of these designs came on a small t shirt that I could put on the crying baby doll I lean on my car at cruise nights.. That would be cool. Real cool.

I'm seeing this quite a bit. Is it a new slang, they way people talk in some parts or just poor grammar? I'm not a spelling cop, just curious.

Its poor grammer , read news and magazine articles , listen to news broadcasters , their collective grammer and spelling is atrocious , public figures are no better , my mother and grandmother were teachers , we were expected to use proper grammer and were swiftly reprimanded if we didn't .......( I still think some people grew up under a rock ).

I think the early Ford pattern might be an anti-theft device to even a guy who's only driven 4 or 5-speeds.

The shift pattern Logo is too limiting and off topic.. Makes one think your advertising shifters or transmissions.
Design a logo that's focused on the anti-theft aspect, not a shift pattern. Avoid Green color as it's not appealing or attention getting. Look at old style speed equipment decals.
    and finally,
Just say: "Equipped with Anti -Theft Device."
That way you could use the sticker any where, like on a boat or motorcycle.
