GREAT Ford thread, Colby...I see a Giant Killer in the making.

With the roll cage struts going thru the 'backlight' (rear glass) space, will that backlight be plexiglass with holes cut for the struts?

    Excellent construction. Just excellent!

Yeah it’ll be plexiglass, the bars go down right at the top so It’ll be two slots.

Will you be attending the 6/8 SEGA event south of Nashville?

Maybe, that is one of the closest ones. Nothing is set in stone yet.

  5. Looking good! I’m digging the black n white chassis color scheme. Going to contrast nicely with the body color!

Hope to see you. Quain allows us to make some exhibition passes between rounds with our original gasser. Also. We will also have the original King Kong Anglia at the event. Here’s a photo from an appearance of both cars at an event in August. Will be looking for you. [IMG]

Question, when some guys building these gassers say they are going to use "Plexiglass" for the windows are they really using the much safer Lexan/Margard material, but just using the term "Plexiglass" instead because it sounds more period correct?

Or are guys actually using the less safe/more crack-snap-shatter prone Plexiglass material?

Thanks. He has had a lot of snow days, that has certainly helped on this build. Mother Nature must like gassers

The car is a roller! Also ran across a good deal on a used Jerico and a ram clutch. Finished the wheel tubs and we’re going to do the floors this weekend.

Spent the weekend at my dads work doing sheet metal work. It’s not completely done and fastened down yet but all the pieces are made.
