I'm a Ford/Mopar guy but looking through this thread but I'd like to have a 59 òr 60 El Camino. Of the three Chevrolets I've owned in the last 45 years one was an El Camino.
    Nice rides!

The green elcamino , above the black one is my favorite all time, and a friend owns it. I would never had put that color on it. But that car is beautiful in person ,and his body shop is in the original SoCal shop on victory blvd Burbank.

A friend is doing an Custom Elcamino conversion on a 57 that a previous owner had already started. He narrowed a 59 roof and is using a 55/56 dash. A second dash was used for the filler panel behind the seat. He plans to power it with a SBC and 4 speed.

My 1964 El Camino back in the early 80s. This was the first car I ever painted. It didn't turn out great but all I had was a one car garage with a dirt floor and and old Craftsman spray gun my Father gave me. IMG_3448.JPG

'60 Buick headlights are some of the nicest ever, and the frenched eyebrows are such a nice touch. (Even just painted is an improvement, IMHO.)
But that new hood line is the cheese!

  22. I need to find a pic of the rear. Has the original tail light frenched in about a inch or two. It a neat mild custom elky. A future mod is to put full length lights in the nostrils for park lights.
