The white version with the green wheels looks nice. That's really the only color combo I like out of all that were tried. Needs the caps too.

I like this version the best too.

I’d be interested in seeing maybe a green roof or a couple of mild tasteful green scalps

You may want to flip the bumpers. (The bolt hole position will lower them.)
Nice ride, BTW. Olds wheel covers?

    Thanks
Great idea to flip the bumpers, I’ll give it a go - the Larry Watson Chev is the benchmark after all.
The caps are 55 Chrysler Windsor. Got the idea from an old Kustoms Illustrated mag then found a set on eBay for $45
Even the emblem in the centre of the caps matches the body color paintwork!
And all done from here in the UK too.

Hey themoose thanks again for helping out with my 51 Chevy.
I put the whole deal out to a ‘public’ vote and as the results rolled in the consensus was to leave the car un-chopped, in one color and on the steels and caps.
Soooooooo, any chance you could work your magic again with this pic and add the fender skirts and just lower her in the weeds a little more?
Thanks again, I really appreciate your assistance and also everyone’s advice too!

My buddy is building this Model A roadster... He's trying to decide on a color combo for it... Plans to do black splash aprons, but not sure on the body. Maybe some 40's colors...

Sorry there are no doors on it in the pics... But maybe someone can paint the body a few options to see what he likes?

Going late 40's style. TROG Racer style.
    Thanks in advance!

Couldnt remember if I had ever saw the apron thing, with no fenders before but thought that could be kinda cool so I looked up some pics and ran across this.....
    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/fenderless-as-with-splash-aprons.761673/
......after looking through the pics in this thread I think I like the aprons cut off and scooted back to where the front of em meets the front edge of the cowl more but thats just my .02...I could see it being cool either way...custom aprons or just later A ones in pic?

Wow! That looks so great. I think the trick is to move them back so the front lines up with the cowl. (And maybe extend them behind the front of the rear wheel.)

White could work; black could work; dark greys could work – say, 60% and darker.

Here's a trick that'll deliver an unexpectedly pleasing colour combo. Starting from the colour you've got, go to the complementary, then go half a hue in either direction. Then go totally the opposite from what you've got for lightness/saturation. So: complementary from your green wheels is some kind of red, so go to either a plum or a scarlet. The green is pale, so make the other colour dark and intense, i.e. a dark broody plum or a rich reddish dark brown. You'll find that working, but if you really want it to pop, add the other hue as an accent somewhere, but mid-lightness and serious saturation, i.e. really bright scarlet on the plum or really bright magenta on the brown.

The other way is to treat your colour as one of the near-complementaries and derive a main colour from that. So, two half-hues on is either blue or yellow; complementary to halfway is therefore either scarlet or plum, respectively. So, the same dark colours as before but with the accents in electric blue on the dark brown or construction-equipment yellow on the dark plum. It'll make perfect sense if you see it on a colour wheel. I'd demonstrate but I'm at work and don't have the right software here.

Some of the more innovative coachbuilders were playing with that kind of approach in the '20s.

My dad had a Chevy II four-door, bought new when I was about a year old, black with red interior.
