I wish I had your coupe!!!

 

Our 33 was built by my hot rod mentor Alex Velis and we bought it when he fell on bad times. It will always be his car. We have changed a few small things that he always wanted to do but never got to including chroming the headers.

OK; I'll admit that I haven't re-read this complete thread. And it's been many moons since I read the early parts. So bear with me if this has been mentioned before.

A long time ago (perhaps 15 - 20 years) in American Rodder there was a feature on a '33 3-window coupe. IIRC it was on the cover also. Black on black on black. Chopped top. Full fendered. Perhaps the most sinister full fendered car I've ever seen. I know that somewhere in my dozens of milk crates full of magazines that I have that issue, but it would take me months to find it.

Does anyone have pix of the car? Or know who owns it now? Or have that issue that you could scan?

I sure would like to have pix of it to save on my computer.

I think that most of you would appreciate seeing it also.

Yes. This was our trip back from St. Louis in november.

 

Thanks. I remember when I first saw it at the Shades' run when it was still at the farm. He let me go all over it and answered a 1000 questions; it was exactly how I wanted my newly bought 5W to look. It's perfect!
Of course, mine is still unfinished. Shame on me......
