  2. I believe I was thinking of old R&R Auto Electric in Upper Marlboro. A couple of Ridgely Bros. owned it and it was the place to go for starters and generators or to get them tested. A real knowledgeable old school bunch in there. Was sad to see it close as I frequented that place.

    I once read that it was closed for environmental reasons. I'm not sure what sort of environmental reasons would make the land useless all these years. I went back there a few years ago myself and took some pics. I hadn't seen the place since I went to watch races as a kid. I hope we didn't get a dose of radiation or something.
