    I have to shorten the guards! :confused: With hindsight ,it’s very too high!

    Is that purely an aesthetic concern, or are they getting in the way of the trunk (boot) lid?

    No, because this increases the height of the rear "visually"
    The guards must be inserted more into the bumper for a packed effect.. and finer effect ..

    And i wanted to change my look because I already had a bar

    Salut Arty.
    That's a real improvement on the rear, one problem of French cars of the 50's is their trunk are too short, it looks almost like they got shortened in the quarter panels/trunk area.
    That 404 needs lowering and a chop.

    I would go with the smaler guards. In original hight they look to big to the small body, but that is my opinion
