Features The Mother Of all Tail Light Threads!!!

My 3100 I built a few years back. Ford repops on the fenders, and aftermarket marker lights in the bedroll.

 

Absolutely the best. End of story.

 

Pretty close second best!!

 

The 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix has one of the best looking tail light set ups I ever saw...

I remember when they first came out, I was a little kid on the swings at the local park looking at cars going up and down the street. I saw a GP go down and hit the brakes and the whole rear end light up, I thought is was a coolest car ever!!

I have always loved the look of the 60 Chrysler tail lights, doesn't matter what car has them.

 

Boomerang style....

 

Mine aren't all that after the Moriarty show, talk about hating to go on after a big act...
37 ford units, with blue dots, I altered a set of SS stands, cut welded and polished so I could mount the lights under the car. It wasn't my original design, they were going on the ends of the rear spreader where the ribbed cap plates now reside.

 

Hard to believe a 61 Ford would be the best ever when most wouldn't have a clue what it is..

 

Are the lenses custom Plexi turnings or did they come from something?

 

Still trying to figure out how and where to use this one !!!!

 

Did you find a source of red Plexi rod or did you paint them candy red?

They don't need to be "custom" to look good !

 

I have seen these used horizontally on other brand cars

 

I wonder if the design cheifs at Chrysler kept telling the designers to go back and make it weirder
