Looks like registration is open now for the 2020 Lonestar Round Up that heads into Austin the week of September 4 & 5, 2020. Yes you are reading that correctly, we had to postpone from April to September. Go to www.lonestarroundup.com/register for all the details. We are going to hand out packets on Thursday this year on Thursday late afternoon from 5pm-8pm at The Travis County Expo Center (like we did last year) for folks that have pre-registered, so you do not have to wait in those long lines on Friday morning so get your registration in early. Please abide by the rules and register only pre-1964 traditionally styled vehicles. It's already shaping up to be a great weekend. Many great cars have already registered and the music will be first class once again all over town and at the show that weekend. Head on over to www.lonestarroundup.com and get your motor runnin.

Bringing a pair of 32 five window coupes and we’ll be parked with Hilton’s hot rods at the front gate. Stop by and say hello

  8. Are y'all gonna ask the Travis County Expo Center people to bump the heat up a little this year? ;)

    We'll be going up Friday.

They can't get a 24 hour forecast right and you want a prediction 2 months in advance? It will be windy calm sunny cloudy wet dry dark or light with a chance of clouds sunshine snow ice or whatever. 100% chance of a good time any way you forecast it.

Oh, Hell yes, Bud. Many rods that are driven long distances have radials, including my traditional "STYLED" Deuce highboy roadster that has been entered the last 7 years.

I think we had all of those conditions minus ice and snow. I forgot to allow for the southern climate. Either way 2200 miles in a car with no top or heat was a blast. Maybe next I will do it again.

The city of Austin stated "... through May 1, events with 2,500 or more people are prohibited unless organizers are able to assure Austin Public Health that “mitigation plans for infectious diseases are in place.”"
The LSRU gang does a great job with the show, but that seems to be a challenging task to meet. Moto GP announced today that the Austin race in April was postponed. Might be we see the same for LSRU.
    Fingers crossed.

    To quote @El Jefe :
"As of right now this is all the info we have. The following press release came out this week and it is a little vague on what can and can't happen depending on the specific events and mitigation plans. http://www.kxan.com/news/coronavirus/large-gatherings-banned-in-austin-through-may-1-city-says/ The rodeo is planning on beginning at the Travis Co Expo Center this week and we are following this closely to see how this is all going to play out. We will keep you posted and appreciate all your support. We are still planning on having the show and hope it will happen the week of April 16-19, but if we have to postpone it due to a city/county directive, we will let you all know as soon as we know. We are already looking into possible alternative dates in case the we have to move the date. just so we know what options we have."
