    Howdy all,
It has been a while since I posted anything, but I have a new, long-term project and wanted to share it. I acquired a 1957 Chevy Bel Air, 2-door hardtop. It was in storage in a garage since being driven in and parked in the summer of 1986. It never moved again until I had it pulled out on Tuesday afternoon. The owner prior to me had purchased it in 1967. It was originally an Inca Silver automatic, V-8 car. It is now a red, manual tranny car with the original Inca Silver & Black interior still in place. It does not run currently, but all 4 brakes were free when it was dragged out on it's flat, Red-line, bias-ply tires.

Spent a little time washing it up, and have to say, she cleans-up pretty good!

Spent a little time today going through the trunk, and was very happy to see a solid and rust-free trunk pan. Hoping the floor pans are just as nice...

Hope you all enjoyed the pics, that is where I am so far, lot more to look over to fully gauge her overall condition, but so far I am very happy. Will get some interior pics soon, going to be a fun project.

  7. Good score - You'll be ready to drive it soon I hope.

  8. Nice save. Looks to be a solid survivor. Kinda wish it was still Inca Silver as it was a very nice color. Keep us posted as progress continues.

That car looks great! I question the original color being Inca Silver, as I have never seen the complete inside of the trunk painted that well in a color change. Have you run the body tag for the original color? Please post some pictures of the engine and interior.

I'm not a '57 Chevy type of guy but...DAMN! Nice one. I'm also curious as to how you heard of this particular car.

Well I was going to direct you to the thread on how to wash a barn find, but it looks like I'm too late to the party. Lol....... Seriously, congrats on a nice score. That will be fun getting it back on the street.

Nice find. Wondering if it was the interior that was changed and not the car color
