Anybody see the 40 Willys in the new Streetscene? What a great build! I can't remember if I've ever seen an original Willys built like that. Is the owner a HAMB member?

@rockable...........we are on the same page. It is way past time for someone to break ranks from the Willys Gasser chain gang and do something thoughtful with a Willys Coupe. There is one other that I have seen, but it was about ten years ago as I recall, in the display booth of Detroit Speed, from Mooresville, NC at the NSRA Nats. They are an excellent firm building superb products for a type of performance car but they are very OT for the HAMB era.

Can anyone post pictures of it for those of us that haven’t seen it? Where is it from and what is the owners name? With that information I could look for it on the internet.

    Thanks,

If you like that one you will like Ron Ladley (The Willys Mann) from PA. I believe he has passed away but his black Willys coupe was / is as close to factory original as one can get. Somebody will have pics I'm sure - I don't.

Wanted one badly in the early 90’s. Sure glad I didn’t find it. I would have turned it into a street rod and ruined it. It Would have been very embarrassing.
Those things belong on the strip with a gasser attitude.

I have not seen that one, Bill....At the risk of committing heresy, the down in the weeds stance is still my favorite look for a Willys.

  24. I like them all...Nose up...Nose in the weeds...and the stocker look...even front to back. It just an iconic design, I never get tired of seeing them. g-willys
That is certainly good to know...Ron is a good man, and what he did to preserve Willys automobiles is unparalleled.
I visited him many years ago...it was very special to see how he preserved those cars. g-willys

  26. Here is a couple picturesfrom Ron Ladleys collection. His '41 coupe, an immaculate 100 point restoration, showing the interior and trunk, with an excepional green coupe park next to it. Also that's Ron at the entrance to his polebarn
    leaning over a fender...like I said, a great guy. I hope he lives for a long while yet. g-willys IMG_20190210_115036430.jpg IMG_20190210_115258276.jpg IMG_20190210_115710926.jpg

Back in the 60's somebody had a real nice 40 Willys street rod that I saw at Dragway 42 in West Salem Ohio. I have mentioned it before but nobody seems to have pics or know anything about it . It wasn't a race car, just a rod .
