image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I have the rolling stock on her. I just couldn't resist rolling it outside even though it's -2F so I could stand back and check her out!

The total surface area of carburetor "hangin' out" is immensely bitchin'. Your instincts are enviable.

Ha ha thanks! Although it really was by chance. Seems like a bunch of stuff on this build has just sort of worked out.

AMEN!!! I learned the hard way by running a dirt bike with knobbies around an asphalt road curve at "normal" speed. Started out on the inside of the right lane and finished the curve almost in the ditch on the left side. Lucky for me there was no oncoming traffic.

Lookin good! Those tires are neat, but a little squirrely on pavement and packed snow! Be careful till you learn their limits especially with a light tail. I painted a Studebaker pickup a two tone brown with ace hardware rust paint. Used a short nap roller, added flattener, and thined it about 20% with the store brand thinner. Took about four times around before it started to look like something and three more coats to look where I wanted to. Came out semi matte like an old truck that had a life. With the size of that shouldn't take long to give it coat. I did one in the am one in the afternoon. Have you fired it up yet?

No I have not fired it, still need to get a 57/9 car water pump, starter, fuel pump and move the upper inlet on the rad.

  14. What a great build! Can’t believe this is the first time I’ve seen it. Valspar has a paint similar to Rustoleum but is tintable if you choose that route.

I went to my local Menards and they can tint rustoleum to there color chart. The kid working in the paint department said they can deviate a bit but not much,

Kind of a Milestone Rollout in a way...Congratulations on your Shiver Me Timbers moment @rusty rocket...literally...motor sounds and sideways into the staightaway are more than appropriate thoughts right now...;)

The tracks in the snow also give a good visual on the front and rear track width...I am not up on racing handling theory but is this preferred or is an even track width better?...and yes those are the coolest treads.

The track width is the same I just had to roll it around my motor hoist to get it out side. Sort of a visual trick.

I built a rear nerf bar the last few days after work. Still need to make a mount for it under the frame. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

As far as track width goes, you should want the front a little wider than the rear. Otherwise it’ll have the tendency for the rear to want to pass the front.
