No that's a 37 Chevy coupe look at the door body line.

That's a 37/38 Chevy for sure, but I think their car before the Willys was a Chevy.

 

I thought it was a Studebaker. Doug Cook had a 37 Chevy. I've been wrong before though

That red coupe is out of Pleasanton,Ca.
Here's it is at the Benicia Car Show. Notice the sedan door made into a coupe door; definitely not criticizing anybody's car whatsoever, just noting something different about it, nice car!

There are a couple familiar (near me) names on the entry form pictured, what is the history of this build.

 

I saw it at the GGs in 2010 and 2013 in Pleasanton, Ca. but don't know about the build.
It's from Whitefish MT and I know his name but don't more much than that...
sure captured "the look."

 

I didn't take THIS shot, I got it from the SF Public Library;
a SF Willys Dealership on Van Ness Ave.

 

Jerry Hill from Newberg did a good portion of the build on this truck just before he passed.

Here's a few of my late father's #2 PRIDE and JOY! Mom of course was #1. I was 4th...Oh well, at least I made it on the list..lol

Glass body with side opening hood on a TCI tube chassis.
Sbc 350 with healthy cam and a little 177cu.in. blower. Damn thing was light and quick. He'd get out in front of me everytime we challenged each other. He was about 1800lbs lighter than my ole 57 chevy and I made more HP and Torque with a built 502...man miss those days.

I found this pickup in San Rafael, Ca. and my friend Randy was looking for one so he bought it.
He trailered it to our house, my wife is sitting in it [pictured], then in our driveway at another time,
he was at our wedding with it and did a long smokin' burn out, wonder what "normal" people thought?
I gave him that aluminum tank in the front of the pickup with that Gotelli's Speed Shop decal and it's still there; new owner back east has it now.
The last shot, my first car gathering in the coupe, parked next to his pickup [in the 1990s],

Bee Line Auto Center again

I saw the Bee Line Willys pretty much intact in Ron Norman's collection a number of years back. He had aquired some awesome former Willys race cars (Merkel, the Grove boys, Airoso Brothers). g-willys

 

Close to 1965 that was the name of the batch 1965

I've been wondering for years, there are 2 different headlight trims on these cars. Were they just different trim models? I always saw the thinner, flat style on the cars that my dad, uncle, and their friends had, like the bottom picture. But I noticed that a lot of the older gassers had the more protruding type like the top picture. This is the place to get the info.
