Yes it is honest work and makes one grow up with a good work ethic, there is one grower we worked for that stands out his name was Ted Kawachi .im not sure on the spelling .but he was a great guy and really cared about people .and had some great stories.

What the hell's up with the chevy logo on the front bumper of the reddish maroon car two posts up? Hopefully it means it pushes them out of the way and not that is has a chevy installed under the hood.

I'm sure it's some guy with no imagination and thinks every car has to have a belly button so they install the generic motors equivalent in everything

I debated eliminating the bowtie from the bumper but hoped people would just look past it.
    I overestimated people.

  13. I still see a few pieces worth saving. Some one should get the little stuff before the earth reclaims it all. Here are some pics of mine. IMG_20170927_071130.jpg IMG_20170810_231257.jpg

I plan on digging it out and bringing it home. I'm already crafting my plan. Gotta wait for the ground to thaw and hopefully before the rainy season starts. I actually hope to build it if at all possible. I'm already collecting parts.

The parklane is actually pretty rare here in the states too , they made just over 15 000 but not too many are still around .i went to a good guys event in Arizona and there were 70-80 chevy nomads there and mine was the only parklane some day I will get it finished .i see a lot of the same trim features on the Australian deluxe trim models as was on the canadian meteors

Yes you are correct. I love the Canadian model. Especially the front grill.

56 is a better looking car with its lower roofline and smarter front end. 55 was still 6 volt.

I'm seriously considering getting rid of my roadster and looking for a 56 hardtop.
I'm familiar with the grille differences, but the roofline? Anyone have comparison pics?

The 1956 hardtops shared the roofline with the 1955 Mercury and 1956 Lincoln hardtops. 1955 and 56 Crown Victorias also had that same roofline, with the B pillars and the band across the roof added. 1955 Ford hardtops were the same as 1954.

Yeah, the convertibles like to rust at the base of the cowl, and sag pretty bad when the doors are open when they have been out in the open for years. A friend had a '56 back in the late '70's that was so bad the dash almost laid on the seat, with the front clip and steering column removed. He did save the 312 and the T85 out of it though.

  30. The late Larry Grillett of Childress, Tx was a big 55-56 collector. I drove past the building he owned last month just to see if anything was still there. In the old car dealer showroom is still 4 56's and a 59. Two of them are Crown Vics, the '59 is a really nice convertible. I'm not real big on '59's, but I like this one. The pics were taken thru the glass, so not real good........Hard to see, but there's a 55 or 6 black 2 dr htp on the right side of the '59 thumbnail.jpg IMG_1174.JPG IMG_1178.JPG
