That sticker on your distributor is the same sticker I have on my distributor and heads. Is that a new distributor? New sticker?

Jeff34 The sticker on the distributor body was put on by "Bubbas Hot Rod Shop", that is who rebuilt it for me. The sticker on the top "Niehoff" is I think who made the part. I believe It to be a vintage part.

Placed the flathead and transmission into the frame this week. Going to start to set up the rear axle next. Huge learning curve for me seeing I have never built a car from the frame up.

Gotta ask, is your engine block painted red or hugger orange ?
    Looks good either way.

GREAT job! I'm doing one, too... .040" over 59AB. That engine color grabbed me, too. For a minute there, I thought you might be that young non-conforming hero that was gonna drop it in a cool '55 Chevy tudor! No matter, though...
Nice straightforward chassis here, looks like all the 'right stuff'! Hairpins on a dago-type, P&J rear wishbone setup.
Don't know what rear axle, and steering box? Great project...I like the tubular cross member/K style.

Drill the lifter bores down low works best. Only takes about 30 minutes. Buy some very long drill bits. Cut the out side of the lifter bores down about 1/8" to get a wrench on the adjuster bolt. Only takes about 30 minutes with a die grinder. Now you have saved several hours of adusting time. PS; I even slimmed down the wrench to get in there.

Thanks, have a lot more to learn. There’s a lot I can glean off of the HAMB folk.
