MSRA application has maximum vehicle size limits in its application! pre 64 only 22' long or less ,8' foot wide or less, no Mustangs. June 21,22,23, 2019

I've never seen anyone at the gate with a tape measure. That said, I totally agree with the Mustang ban because they don't fit the vibe of the show.

Yes, you are correct with vehicle sizes. If I'm not mistaken the MSRA started that restriction with last years 2018 BTT50s. They just don't want huge trucks inside the fairgrounds. parking is difficult enough with nearly 12,000 cars and having vehicles that large inside the fairgrounds is something they want to avoid.

I really hope you can make it again this year!! It was GREAT meeting you.

  5. even though they set some clear limits on the application , there somehow will be some inappropriate stuff that slips in

The school bus mud truck and the huge Canadian car hauler won't be able to register. I kinda feel bad for them but they really didn't fit the vibe either so I guess it is what is is. I wonder if Wild Torquey is under 22'

Hadn't planned on going, but if they bring the tape measure out a '60 full size Ford might not make it in!

A 68 lincoln is 22ft long for visual comparison. I can’t even fathom trying to navigate that crowd in a vehicle that big

One thing I can't understand is with the size and success of the event why they can't change the cut off for cars back to 59. You know nothing says "back to the fifties" like a 64 Chev biscayne 4 door......

How about they just don't allow fordors of any year?

It's a great show I've gone for the last several years! That said I wish they could get us in the grounds faster as the waiting in line is a killer.

To many cars for me. I've had the most fun at small town runs. Good guys Colorado is just about right, just enough cars that makes it feel big but a guy can see just about every car during the weekend.

I get what you'r saying, but as has been discussed here on many occasions, I believe it's about getting young guys into the hobby. Most, certainly cannot afford a 57 Chevy or almost any of the popular 2 dr cars. So all that is left is 4drs, and not the old ones. Just my 2 cents. Brian

I haven't missed a 50's in what seems like forever. The fairgrounds are about 10 miles from the house so that's no great feat...

Make your way to the west side and enter on Commonwealth Ave...you won’t be disappointed.

  22. 1) Arrive later. 2) Don't use the main entrance.

Haven't been to Back To The Fifties in years, probably the last time was around 2001. The car count that year reached 10,000, and that was too much for me. Traffic was bad, waiting to get in was bad, finding a place to part was bad, and they doubled the rate on all the motel rooms that year.
It was a really fun show before it got too big. Gene
