excellent photos Ryan, the shop is amazing. One of my fave Mercs and Ford club coupes in attendance makes it extra cool. Love the equipment and overall shop layout. Thanx for this nice event coverage.
Rancho Deluxe - always the best...! Well done Ben and Laura.... this version looks amazing. (Coffee and Muffins..?) \m/
Thanks for the Retro trip @Ryan...thanks to your expertise in Photography...however your friends handle on Layout and Interior and Exterior Design plus the ambience of Hotrod/Custom didn't hurt either... Is this a new Rod Shop or just a personal Ranch?
Very cool, the photos look great. Some have a vintage feel, other feel like “vintage” jalopy journal, but they all feel like you took them. Thanks for the post
That's a very cool shop Ben. Spread the gospel of traditional hot rods and customs and Melbourne coffee to hoodlums world wide. All the very best from down under.
Ryan, Can you have Ben contact me. I never see him post anymore and we are friends. I lost touch with him when he moved to Texas. Thanks Dale
Don't you just love the old block buildings? I mean this is a new one, but they all have an ambiance to them. Looks like there's some great projects lined up already and that towel dispenser sure brings back some memories. Now, you have a legitimate excuse to get out a little more. Thanks for the great pics, Carp.
I dig the little cactus in the 40s style windows. And all the shop equipment is period stuff! Very cool.
I've seen other photos of that shop under construction—so rad. And I remember that sign from in the Jalopy Journal. Did Ben save it or recreate it? Either way, well done. I can only imagine how many kids at LBJ are going to get grabbed by the ear because they're staring out the window at hot rods coming and going rather than looking at the blackboard...
Ben, Good luck with the new place (Digs). I have been to your last two places for the openings but this one I will have to miss. The last place and opening you had Nicci Blues and her band play now that was something. I recall her music was a great part of that opening many years ago now. I have also been following on Instagram the new building and have to say I like what you have done. Good Luck with it all Ben and I hope the opening goes (went) well.
Great pictures and a beautiful shop, I've been following the build via social media. So inspiring, makes me wanna move to Texas!
Beautiful shots and coverage, RYAN! It's just so great to see the old Rancho Deluxe sign now hanging on its new home here in Texas. Let the fun stuff begin...!!!
There's a lot of us that wish we could have been there, thanks Ryan and Blake for the great photos. Ben and Laura, good luck with the new shop - it looks fantastic. Rancho Deluxe V3.1 is the best yet!
Great photos @BLAKE! It appears as though only half of the shop is being used. Is the other half living quarters?
Thanks, and good eye!! The front quarter-or-so of the shop is Laura's space for her new business venture. It's a really great setup!
