It's up to the seller to let the moderators know the item is sold, never really heard too many people complain about it. HRP
I don't mind sold items not being deleted - the sold items are like a big database that HAMBers can use to get a general idea of what parts are being sold for. If they are looking for parts it gives them an idea of what they will need to spend and if they are looking to sell something it can help with coming up with a price on their items.
Guys, A lot of these concerns can be solved by simply reading the "rules for this forum" at the top of the opening page of the classifieds forum. How can you play the game if you don't know the rules of the game? Fusbc, I am not aware of a search on the classifieds forums that will show only parts close to your area.
In the search drop down, there is a space at the bottom, where you can specify the state, to narrow down your results. Be forewarned, it doesn't go by the location of the member. It only goes by the location typed into the ad, so it may unintentionally weed out results that are not filled in correctly.
.............Great point. It could also help to eliminate some of those...."What's this worth" threads.
I'd much rather see members edit their last post to reflect it being sold, that way it doesn't bring it back to the top.
There are no parts for sale by any members in Oklahoma as of today. Yes - it is possible to search for parts for sale just in your STATE/ area. Click on Parts For Sale Go up to the magnify glass ( banner - 3rd one in ) Pull down menu - State. ( at the bottom of the menu ) Click on it and all the 50 states come up - click on in your case Oklahoma. Hit search..... WALLAAAA ! Any part for sale in your sate will come up.
Thanks Cob, that's anew one on me. UPDATE, just for S & G's I checked out cars for sale in South Carolina but it doesn't show the gold pickup I have for sale. HRP https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1932-ford-pickup.1126823/
......Kinda weird how that happens. By the way Danny, that is one incredibly beautiful truck your friend is selling.........Don.
I keep old for sale ads around because I think it's valuable to see what things are worth historically...
