  4. George was banned, not sure what happened.

He hangs out over on the Hot Rod Craft, the user name is jaded iconoclast.

  5. Thinking about taking some shortcuts on your Gasser? This car was built right and protected the driver like it was supposed to do. 20180717_171944.jpg 20180717_171958.jpg 20180717_172019.jpg

He may not have been banned, just 'resigned'. When you get banned it usually says so.

What a nice looking Pontiac! I have two questions...1-what does it run, if you have raced it yet? 2-what is the procedure of taking a hydro off the back of the engine? A buddy of mine can't seem to get the trans off. When I go there I want to look like I know what's going on. Thanks, Gene.

That 57 Pontiac does it for me!! Had one in 59-was fast for the time-won a lot at the drags.

  12. I just finished my slingshot, a little contribution to nostalgia style racing. Hope it fits into the spirit of this thread.

Adam, This shot is from Fremont in '86. Bill's Willys was going through tech at the same time we were, with the T/F car I drove. Just ahead of Bill, was my old friend Doug Luzon and his blown Flathead 29 Roadster. Fun times ! IMG_3513.JPG

That looks to have been taken at the Woodward Ave. Dream Cruise, arguably the biggest car show in the world with 30,000 - 40,000 hot rods of all kinds and a spectator crowd upwards of 1.3 million folks.

Don't like a lot of the modern "Nostalgia Top Fuel" cars-they just don't look right? It appears they are mounting the driver too high and too far forward?I realize they have to meet safety rules, but would still like them to look like old fuelers
