Forming up one of the firewall notches for the engine setback. This relief is for the starter bump that’s in the bell housing on a Yblock.

Body is off the frame. Now to prep and paint the frame and rear suspension. 28280041_10150957432724946_7485606395457121076_n.jpg 28379232_10150956980989946_7101853244299915437_n.jpg 28378916_10150956985984946_5301820609432647148_n.jpg

These are some really cool FORD builds, and that's coming from a Chevrolet guy! Keep it up. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Trying to get all the sand out of the rear housing. What a pain. [IMG]

Today’s fun, figuring out the driveline length so I can have one made. Also need a yoke for this early top loader. Anyone have one you’re not using?

Maybe its just an optical illusion, but will your driveshaft clear the ladder bars' front crossmember?

Nope, it will have to be notched and a drive shaft hoop added. Good eye.

  16. I was just about to ask about the driveshaft, looks like it going right through. Just pop in a safetly loop and pretend it was on purpose! :)

This was planned for. We’ve just got it to the point now to make it happen.

It’s been a while but here is a small update. The body is back on the frame now after the powder coating was completed. Floor pans are done. Need to address the rocker panels next. Little more rust to take care of. Firewall and wheel wells need finished and after that the final bodywork. Steering, brakes, wiring, rear wheel tubs, glass etc still to go

Part 1 of the build is up on YouTube finally. It's a couple of years old now. Part 2 is in the works.

You need to shoot for getting it done and bringing it to the HAMB drags.

Immediate plans are to get the brakes and steering finished before its taken to a shop to help me get the sheet metal in order. Wheel wells on the rear, inside wheel tubs to tidy up the area where we moved the rear forward 9 inches. Tilt front end and a few other thing like roll cage etc.
