For the patina lovers like me, this could be very cool like it is if it were made to run and drive again.

 

4 door its a parts car. The 56 truck next to it is a long bed.

Several rotting.

 

These are all gone. Old timer that I was good friends with owned a wrecker service and garage since the 50's. These were all hauled out to pasture behind his house and of course the pasture eventually became a forest. This was actually the middle row. There was another row in front of these and another behind where the school bus is. There was also another section of the yard where the cars weren't arranged quite as neatly.

These are probably still sitting and rotting. I haven't been out to check but the people that owned the property passed away years ago. Their old house is still there along with several old farm implements so I imagine the cars are still out in the woods as well.

 

Last one for now. Had a guy tell me about some wooded property that used to be an old junkyard. Had to check it out. This was still out there WAY back in the woods. 39 Ford Standard Tudor. Someone had cut the dash and installed a 53 Ford speedometer assy. It still had the banjo wheel in it but not much else.

 

...these were down by Lasalle, Illinois 5 years ago, mite still be there...

what often happens here in Ark. The old folks go into the nursing home. and its very costly. and the Government foots the bill. and the DHS has a lien on the property that exceeds its value. And eventually the Taxes go into Arrears and the State commissioner of Lands owns the property. They attempt to sell it at Public Auction. However the DHS Lien is so much no one will purchase the place.

 

Why do I get the feeling Old Wolf is just walking around his place taking pics?

 

Nope not mine Yet? Those are pictures of a estate that will be sold at auction New years day. And relatively close to my home. Less than 100 miles away.
