Great score, the car looks great! Try to find a 331/354/392 or at least a 440. And try to stay away from a 350 with a car this cool. ;)

Well , interesting things happen in life..selling my 50 Dodge coupe to a fellow in Tennessee who is picking up my 51 Chrysler coupe in Tennessee , delivering it upstate NY , and taking the 50 back to Tennessee.... image.jpeg image.jpeg

    Thanks, choptop.
    Sounds pretty? Not too shitty?
Yes, I like to screw around with words. I wrote a long ballad for my wife that came out pretty good. She liked it. Sometime, maybe I'll share a couple hot rod songs I've written. Also a hot rod story set in the future that I started writing before Sandy died. I just haven't gotten back to finishing it yet.

How tall is the windshield? Looks like they may have flattened the hood a little too! Pic is my 53 Windsor 4 dr. Grill and trim seems almost identical

Not sure how much it's chopped, my guess is 6 inches...the quarter window was shortened , the main roof section was never cut across, it was moved forward , A pillars slanted inward , outward..I like the he way this chop is done..saves time and a lot of welding..sail panels look ro be hand formed, wheel I guess...that back window looks to be 47-48 Fleetline...may change it out for a more symmetrical one from a late 40 Mopar sedan..... image.jpeg

  21. Nosed and decked with the rest of stock trim back on, move the stock tail lights down closer to the bumper, a dark color and you're in. running gear of your choice.

I don't have any suggestions...except to remind you to keep any OT content out of your thread so we can continue to enjoy your build. :D

What a kool project, looking forward to watching the progress. I have a complete chassis from a 78 Cougar under my '51 Merc. It's a lot of work but you cant beat the benefits. Good luck...

Thanks , checked roadkill customs..still.no track width....time to break out the ole tape measure....O.T frame swaps are in my opinion in this day of crazy highway speeds and drivers a great way t go...also pretty damn inexpensive and fast as opposed to a frame modification and all the hours and parts chasing...

IDK if all Chryslers had the same track, but I found some info on the '51 Windsor

    Front; 56.3125 (56 5/16)
    Rear; 59.5625 (59 9/16)

    This is the site

    https://www.automobile-catalog.com/...r_2gen/full-size_2gen_windsor_sedan/1951.html

that has a link to the "Continue to detailed specs...etc".
However, when that box is clicked on, there's a message that one has to allow ads to show.
I modified the Ad-Blocker Plus to allow that website, but the message keeps coming up.
A few seconds of the "detailed specs" page pops up, then the message reappears.
Had to copy down fast... lol
Maybe you will have better luck viewing that page.

Have to agree, that Chrysler will be COOL when done.
I remember those cars being "stodgy" too........"old peoples cars" as us teens would say back in the 60's.
