I was finally able to acquire a 1950 Buick Super Convertible and above the trunk key trim it has what looks to be a dealer placard or tag that says (in faded shadows) "HARLEY BUICK DETROIT" Of course when I type that into the google machine all I get is today's buick and Harley dealers in Detroit area, so thought I'd reach out here and see if anyone has ever seen these or heard of that dealership. It appears to be original and correct to the car. Thanks in advance
Harley, Buick and Detroit all sound Cool together. Haney buick,....Well......Maybe cool but Kinda makes me think of Green Acres Mr Haney
A legend and a genius who brought us one of the first concept cars the Buick Y job in the 1930's. Certainly someone who had a unique vision into the future for automotive design. http://www.hovermotorco.com/2013/01/the-worlds-first-concept-car-harley.html
^^^^^^There is a Principle (the name of which I have momentarily forgotten) that says, in effect, 'the most obvious answer is usually the correct one'.........
When you search google, try using quotes...I used{ "harley buick" detroit }and came up with this from 1932 as the first result https://www.newspapers.com/clip/7382816/detroit_free_press/ And this one a little closer to the target date https://www.newspapers.com/clip/7382653/detroit_free_press/
