It is pretty much a shell. The outer body is solid from all the various coats of paint and it has a couple dents but most of the floors will need to be replaced. It has a motor but I have no idea as to if it runs or not. No interior. A full restoration would take a lot more money than turning it into a comfortable cruiser or even a jacked up straight axle beast of some sort. Jury is still out on what to do with it as I am currently finishing my 31 A roadster.

Dad scored a 26 t coupe that was restored 40 years ago and then sat in a barn, will need some work again as raccoons and mice undid a lot of work. He also got a 49 F3 with a dump bed, its now in light duty use on the "farm" and a couple weeks ago we brought home a very complete 36 Chevy sedan delivery. Id say weve got enough projects to last a while. But given the chance in 2019, there will be more brought home!

  5. I'm not buying any more relics.

  10. Only bought one HAMB type item. I bought the remains of hub cap 2 014.JPG a 56 Pontiac. just the front half of the frame ,cowl, hood, 316 engine, and stick tranny. Already sold the pedals & linkage to a HAMBER and have a pending sale to another member for the trans.

  12. I used to think that the Pontiac and Chevrolet shared the same chassis because I never owned a Pontiac, I just thought GM did things that way. They are a lot of differences in them I now know.

OK, all of you with major finds (a pristine '32 5-window, fer Christ sake!). I went with friend to look at a Model "A" Murray Fordor he was thinking about getting. He didn't buy it, but I got a broken Model "T" steering wheel (for my "Tub" project) for $5. I restored it and it turned out real well. How's that for the smallest project here.:D

I bought a '41 Ford Pickup project from a fellow HAMBer, haven't lifted a finger on it yet tho. Also bought a 9" Posi for the truck and a little HEMI. I am looking forward to getting started building the truck in 2019.

I had a 55 Metropolitan ragtop when I was a Sr in high school, lots of fun but it got me in a couple of fights because a cluster of classmates thought it was great fun to mess with it until a friend of mine put a stop to it telling them that no more or they answered to him.
This is the year I didn't drag anything old home but I have seemed to invested heavily in finned aluminum for both the 48 and the model A.
I did drag home a 52 F1 chassis early in the spring, pulled the front drums off, took out the crossmember and clutch an brake pedals and shock brackets and salvaged a 4 speed with hogshead on it and turned around an sold the frame an axles to a young guy down in the Portland/Vancouver to use under his F1 with a boogered up frame.
Right now I am trying to keep from dragging anything else home until a couple of the Ot rigs that need to be sold are gone. I've got to put some goodies up for sale to pay for a trailer I want now.

Only thing I’ve bought this year has been semi truck parts.:( Haven’t been able to buy stuff to finish my car since it seems like every time I turned around the semi was down again. And not cheap stuff, either. Hope for a better 2019, maybe I can get my junk back on the road.....

  25. Been there & done that. Never was a steady income when I owned a semi truck I seemed. everytime I got ahead that rig would throw some sort of junk iron fit and robb me.
