Projects 31 Model a Victoria The Secret

The 31 I plan on keeping. I may sell or trade the 30 though.

 

HRP -- The Geezer is correct; all Vickys are '31 or later model cars. See my post #30 above. Titles do not determine model year, the manufacturers do.

 

I'm just curious, where do you find correct production numbers for early Fords? Everything I am finding shows that there were Victoria's made in 1930, not many but it shows they did make them.

And hopefully I'll get the 31 fired up this weekend!

 

There are many books
along with the various Model A sites that show Vicki's were built in 1930

I'm sure this is over kill on the stock engine and it belongs to my other car, but until the v8 is ready to drop in this will be more fun.

 

6,306 made in 1930
33,906 made in 1931

 

Been spending some nights in the shop sleeping and emptying the buckets catching the roof drizzle when the insomnia hits I've been getting some work done.

Made a couple seat brackets so the new seats will still tilt forward and a bit of for and aft adjustment.

Poor boy paint on the wheels until I can sand blast them and give them a proper paint, and a quick running board fix till I can find a good set. I still need a good passenger rear fender for it.

 

Hey @Kickstarter I saw you drive by ONSI Saturday. Why didn't you stop?

 

I was there for a little while, but had to leave early, I looked for you someone said tall guy in a hat. haha. I did check out your Vicky though, Unreal!

 

All the good stuff is ready and it’s hustle time to put it back together before the end of the month!

It's amazing how many self styled experts chime in and argue when you actually have title in hand with the vin on it.
Either way, that 30 is a hell of a lot nicer than my 31 Vic and that 31 is sweet.

Some questions on brakes. I'm putting 40 Ford brakes on my 35 and was wondering would the 35 brakes swap over onto the Model a? If so what needs to be changed to make them fit? And yes I want to keep mechanical brakes on it.

Here's some info on the 35 brake swap. I have a complete set that I bought for my 31 pickup, if you need them. I traded the truck off.
