It is a 1937 Adler Rennlimousine that raced at Lemans in 1937 and 1938 and many other races. It has now been restored. It was the first Lemans race car to use a streamlined body. This photo is the exact same car racing at Lemans in 1937.

Well KKROD where do I start, from memory I paid $200 for the '40 ute. The '33 roadster was $30 & the channelled '34 was $70, the '34 ute I posted earlier was would you believe $10, but I had to travel about 200 miles to get it. The others were just picked up not far from around where I lived at the time. The sad thing is, the amount of cars I past up because money was tight at the time & somewhere to store them. I will post some more pics when I find them . I will try not to bore you to much.;)

Setting in the basement of a buddy's Mother's house. Car belonged to his Dad who bought it new. Been setting there for 20 years while buddy & his sister fight over restoring it to rent out to weddings, (it's a 2-dr. sedan, not 4-dr.) or selling it. Can not get them to settle on a value to sell it, but they were saying 10 years ago, 1st $10,000 gets it. LOL Brent's model A.JPG

  12. No picture but a funny tin story. In the 60's in So Cal. I'd get up early and cruise the the junk yards because people would dump off cars at night when the yards were closed, just drop them at the front gate so if you cruised by in the early AM there might be something of interest. I'd cruise the scene on the way to work. One morning I was doing this in my 47 Chevy 4 dr and spotted 2 T C cabs and a T bucket body somebody had dumped off. I opened the trunk of the 47 Chevy and stuffed one C cab in, next one C cab stuffed in the back door and tied it up with rope and yes it was mostly hanging out side the car, last I stuck the Bucket on top of the C cab in the trunk found some bailing wire in the same empty lot and tied it down sorta' and headed for home. I got about 2 blocks when the Cops saw me and pulled me over and ask "What are you doing?" stuff's hanging over into the other lane of traffic, I tried to explain I only had a few blocks to go and I'd go really slow. The Cops wouldn't have it and made me take the 3 bodies out, so I left them in a different empty lot went home got my 49 Chevy P/U that had rods knocking really bad went and got the bodies, drug them home in a smoking knocking Chevy P/U. Vintage Rusty Tin made it home. Oh Ya, I'd do it again! JW

  13. Found this V16 Cadillac roadster in a guy's garage in San Diego years ago....it was not for sale. The owner was a lawyer who had passed away and his young nephew inherited it. It was totally original and BEAUTIFUL. Picture 939.jpg

I drug home this pile of rusty tin, waved my magic wand. Presto chango. There appeared a finished model T in my shop. (It actually took a little longer than that.)

I picked up this 40 Ford over the summer. It was in the same family since new.

  23. Thanks, I’m proud of it, and it gets compliments that usually begin with “I don’t like green cars, but...”.

It’s a custom mix. Started with a 2004 GM under-hood color. I think the name was “Tarragon” (?)

It was close to my vision but a little brownish. We kept tweaking it until it was just right. My color is slightly lighter, grayer, greener. Hard to explain.
