[IMG] not necessarily bad workmanship, but cringe worthy nonetheless

After removing the 1/4" plating along the outside of the frame rail. A few steering engineers work.

No. It is a Mercury, you can tell by the hood.

If there is such a thing as a rat rod hall of fame this one surely belongs in there.

  18. The three point bar drag link reminded me of a picture I saw with five of those links making up a rear four bar and diagonal. Should'a saved it for this thread; but it was an OT car; seller called it a "race car" suspension.

That "frame" appears to be the base of an engine crane!

I think I remember reading that John Buttera said that in his youth he and some friends built a dragster out of muffler moly.

Back in the day, didn't know any better, buzz box, smoke ax, etc. might get a pass, but THIS?
There's SO much to not like. Any more pics? It's like a train wreck.

If you search "rat rod" on New Hampshire craigslist the ad should pop up, that is if nobody has hauled it away. Ad is for rat rod /chevy $500. I think you're right, looks like an engine hoist rear haha. Should have advertised it as lifted rear suspension, and gives a new meaning to "trailer queen" on the front suspension.

  25. That's sad. "Vision has changed many times". Put down the pipe.

  26. The only things of any value are not being included, engine and transmission.
Without them it's only worth scrap.

  27. Just think about it for a second...when was the last time you saw a car that can pull (& install) it's own engine ?... Stand the boom up.. put the hydraulic ram back on.. and you're back in business ..
