  1. The Swastika has been around long before the Nazi's appropriated it. When they did, they reversed it (mirror image) and tilted it on end (diamond shape, not square shape).
It's a prominent symbol in a lot of Asian religions and some regions/cultures see the Swastika as a sign of good luck.
That being said, I believe the way it is on the blower snout is the reversed style...

Indians in Arizona (Navaho?) also used it & it was on Az. road signs until WWII. When Finland became independent again in 1919 they used it as the emblem for their Air Force. Saw a photo of a drag car with one on the pulley, someone said the young owner did it to annoy the old folks (or something along those likes).

    Quoted from Hotrod article...

Bill Kenz and Roy Leslie are probably best known for the speed records set in their Number 777 streamliner, including the first 200-mph run (with Willie Young driving) at Bonneville in 1950.

The second, a stripped down rail job with a 296-inch Mercury flathead, ran the fastest pass of the day—122.28 mph—driven by Joe Kelly.

This would be Lowry Air Force Base 1955.

Really like that picture whether Parson's is behaving or not!! Saw Steve Chassey run a few times, he always struck me as a good guy.
